HEAVY RENOVATIONS HAPPENING - THINGS WILL NOT LOOK AS INTENDED FOR A WEEK OR TWO

(AND THEY WILL LOOK UGLY)

This website aims to provide a comprehensive list of every covered bridge which remains in New Brunswick, as of 2024. And by every, I mean every. Is the covered bridge made as part of a scenic hiking trail? I’ll put it here. Is it just a decoration in someone’s backyard? I’ll add it. (not really because apparently that is called trespassing and is illegal?)

What qualifies a bridge for this list?
As long as a bridge is built following traditional covered bridge design philosophy and crosses a body of water, I believe that it belongs here.

My goal with this site is to provide basic information about each bridge, such as: coordinates/directions, basic structural details, years of construction, and maybe some history.

This is my final student project, so it’s a big work-in-progress right now. This website is coded entirely by me, and I’m photographing each bridge by myself; so if you notice that your local bridge doesn’t have a page, I just haven’t gotten to it yet!

Happy bridge-hunting!
